got DRL, day light running lamps> lamps on in the day , we need to know that first. or all answer 1/2 are wrong,
yes cars have 2 to for 4 fuse boxes. seems to me 1, next to battery only. here.

check that dimmer is turned up ---and check connections around where radio work was done for damaged disconnected line connector also check dash fuses not just fuses from radio --or your radio may not be compatible to your dimmer circuit -most oem radios display are Incorporated with dash functions and after market ones are not
Try checking your fuses, you may have a blown one. If the problem reoccurs, or it isn't the fuse, then you more than likely have a short somewhere, where you will need to spend up to several hours with a test light.
