Carb cleaner will fo the work...more offen throtle body get dirty.that is why your idling is 400 to 500 rpm...just apply carb cleaner into the throtle body( air intake) den rev.up so the engine wont die..and to flush to all the dirt...sure your idling will be back to normal
You need to use a scan tool that will show you maf voltage when the throttle is opened and closed in order to determine if it is functioning. If that is not possible, just turn car on and once running, unplug maf. if nothing happens chances are the sensor is bad. if car shuts off or immediately runs very poorly and/or smoothes out right after plugging back in, then maf is fine and you have another issue.

sounds to me that you have an igniton problem not a starter problem and or if you have or had an alarm system could be cause if u do give me feedback and i will explain but seems that your starter is fine from what u say but if you think in terms of the elemts to start a vehicle batery gives pwoer to ignition which sends to starter which gives spark etc i would check you ignition system something is causeing a short and not alowing starter to function

try over riding the starter relay on the fender ,it has one there right?. dont go to a mechanic yet. the engine aint seized. if it doesnt have this relay then i would get the alternator tested. if you want to test it yourself it can be costly for the right equip. autozone usually tests for free. i dont know were you live so if theres not an autozone. let me know if you cant get it tested.
Used parts such as starters and altinators don't last. It might **** but it sounds like you need to buy a new starter, altinator, and battery. Or just start with buying one at a time.
