How to remove the center console from my 2004 Honda Civic DX

I have a 96 Honda Civic and my clip broke. Finally got a new one and could figure it out. Finally did. Rotate the visor out of the way. Rotate the clip 90 degrees CCW. Gently pry down on the clip and remove. Installation of the new clip is opposite the removal.

Only a Honda dealer can give the code after removing the
radio and obtaining the serial number. Before you go, if
you have the owners manual or any papers that came with
the care look through them it might be written down some
where (5 digits).

Carefully remove the gearshift trim with a tool (screwdriver covered with tape to prevent scratching). With the trim removed (first picture) you can now see the wires to the light bulb socket. To access the socket, lift up the top of the console by inserting the screwdriver and prying. Pry at the four tabs. Note the back of the console top can be left in place. Detach the clips (A, B) by pulling the center console box (C) up, and removing it from the center console (D).

1. Remove the screws (A, B) and clips (C), and remove the center console (D).
   

2. Install the console in the reverse order of removal, and note these items

It's directly on top of the engine, in the center, toward the back. It looks like a rectangle in shape, and has I believe 6 screws around, and one permanent screw in the middle. Just take out the 6 screws, loosen the middle one, and pull it off. Quite easy!
