Usually an alternator only needs bearings, brushes and possibly diodes and regulator. Most people rebuilding an alternator replace all of them. If you haven't rebuilt one or helped someone rebuild one it can be a little trickey. Some require that you solder the diode plate, others need very precise assembly. Often a rebuild kit costs more than a rebuilt alternator.

Have you tried resetting Transmission Control Module?

Honda. I don't know how experienced you are, but I avoid
transmissions, too complicated. You might do better buying
a remfg., and just swapping it out.

you can check napa or the dealer. mostly rebuild kits are a thing of the past. since you can get the master cylinder installed for the same as it would cost to rebuild one

If your going to rebuild it, the rebuild kit has an exploded view etc in with it.

When you ask for the kit at the part store some list it as a carburator rebuild kit and some list it as a Throttle Body rebuild kit. Not much to rebuild, Clean it put in new gaskets and o-rings. There is two different kits one comes with a new fuel pressure regulator and one does not. Best to check fuel pressure and fuel filter prior to purchasing the kit. Fuel injectors should be tested and cleaned by a shop. I found a carquest auto parts that had the machines to do it and cost me $40 for 2 injectors.

go to your local libary and check for a workshop manual on your make and model it is quite an intense job
