2 Audio issues with my 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe Factory GPS Navigation Radio, with a JL Audio W7 Subwoofer with a JL Audio 500 watt 1 channel AMP. Note 1 Radio will unexpectedly stop all audio when listening on low. Happens once a month. Note 2 When driving and turning left at a higher speed, the subwoofer cuts out but audio remains. I am thinking that these issues are related to 1 area of the Tahoe. I have checked the cables going into the subwoofer Amp and they seem to be fine. Any help is much appreciated.
The wires could be shorting or have a bad connection any where in the length from the radio to the sub woofer. I lost all sound in my Tahoe and thought that the connection was at the radio but never found a problem. One day on a hard left turn a loose chair in the back area of the Tahoe struck the right side panel which has the speaker and everything starter working.

No the reson for the amp overheating is do to the OHM ratting that you have the sub if to have the both wired up then just wire one up and that will give you the OHM ratting that your amp is ratted for the way that you might have it is the way that we wire them for coms. where it is on for 30sec and no more. if you would like more help let me know.

SOURCE: i bought a 500/1 jl audio amp and also a w7 10 sub
if its cutting off and right back on then check your ground and your power wire makes sure both are connected good and none of your fuse's are blown, either that or you got a wire hooked up backwards in the sub.. but my guess is that the sub is hooked up wrong... that sub should be hooked up in a series or in parallel,
ok if your running just one speaker, it should be hooked up like this and 2 speakers are a different way...
this is parallel :pos to pos , neg to neg, then one wire coming from pos on sub to pos on amp then neg on sub to neg on amp but bridge the amp on your amp should be 2 pos and 2 neg in two different channels take the pos off the sub into the pos on 1 channel and then the neg from sub to the neg on the other channel,
this is series : on the sub it will go pos to neg then the other neg and pos will go to the amp, but make sure the pos and neg r on different sides of the sub, dont hook them both to the same coil
if your need more help give me your email and ill send you a pic of how to do it...

The jl100/1v2 puts out the same amount of power between 1.5 - 4 ohm loads so you dont have to really set up anything to match your sub- wire the coils in parrallel and plug it in- set infrasonic(subsonic) filter at 15 hz(lowest) set crossover piont at close to 80 hz set gain about half-or if you kow the voltage from your source unit match the source voltage to the amps input voltage setting-it should pound like a champ with no problems

How much is your speaker max wattage?
If it is 750 or below, it can only be used on one channel, either the right or the left.
If speaker can handle 1500 watts then hook the positive speaker wire to R+
Hook black negative speaker wire to L-
Now it is bridged
CAR ALARM ISSUES
It
can be any of the car doors not got properly locked or the door is locked but
the switch is not sensing the door locked. Open and close each door again
properly.
Or
else its problem with any of switch wiring getting in contact
with alarm wiring causing it to happen.
And
last thing alarm connections need to be inspected. It's getting short somewhere
in between.
There
