I have cleaned a lot of throttle bodys on GM and Fords and I never have had to relearn the computer. If it is idling a little fast, drive it for a little bit.

Sounds like the idle speed control motor is stuck, this could have been caused by the cleaning.

SOURCE: vibration when idling in drive

check your pulley's. Sounds like one of them are bad and causing movement which where the vibrations coming from. A friend of mine had the same problem, his was the fan pulley. It could be moved inward and outward a little but enough to cause the engine to vibrate. The bearings were going out. check it out and let us know what you come up with.

SOURCE: what is the relearn procedure for a 2003 envoy?

undoing the battery to reset the computer to reset a problem- if the problem wasnt taken care of the problem usually comes back--if it was to reset something like fuel cap the computer needs to go thru multi cycles and or 125 to 150 miles have the truck scanned most auto stores such as auto zone/advanced auto do it for free check ur local area u may have a fault code thats causing problems

SOURCE: Code P0121 on 2006 GMC

Classic signs of idle air control not able to cope with sudden engine loads. Cleaning should resolve this. Remove ducting from air cleaner to throttle entrance. Spray with carb. choke cleaner or WD40 spray and wipe back to the alloy finish. clean the the throttle plate and push the throttle open with your fingers and clean in behind as best you can. Clean the passageways to the idle air control valve. Remove the valve and give it a thorough clean up. Reassemble and it should all be good.

04 gmc envoy randomly turns off when coming to a stop

You need to have the throttle body cleaned, make sure both the front and rear sides of the throttle body are thoroughly cleaned. Also, while the cleaning takes place, the battery should be disconnected to reset the computer and allow it to relearn to the cleaned throttle body.

My 2003 GMC envoy 6cyl wants to die when i turn ac or heater on

The throttle body needs to be cleaned, make sure to clean both the front side and back side, this means that the throttle body needs to be removed from the intake. Also, disconnect the battery while cleaning, this will reset the computer and allow it to relearn to the cleaned throttle body.

Hi i have a code reading P0506 for a 06 GMC Envoy XL any recomondations

{: ) DTC P0506 Idle Speed Low
The usual cause is an excessive carbon build-up on the throttle body. If this is the case, I suggest you have your throttle body cleaned and perform an idle relearn procedure using a GM scan tool. The idle relearn or reset procedure is very important, otherwise this code may still remain even after a throttle body clean.
In a similar fashion, if the ECM/PCM (engine control module) of a high mileage vehicle is replaced and/or reprogrammed without performing the Throttle/Idle Learn procedure, the ECM/PCM may no longer compensate for existing carbon build up in the throttle body, causing it to return with a similar concern as well as DTCs P0121, P0506, and/or P0507.
There are other conditions that can also affect or reduce idle speed by increasing engine load like incorrect torque converter clutch (TCC) operation, accessories that require additional torque to operate, restricted exhaust, and mechanical conditions that limit engine speed.

Car will quit when tires turn left or right or turn blower on idles low when stoped.

You recently disconnected or replaced the battery? If so, disconnect the battery again, clean your throttle body with throttle body cleaner, must be nice and shiny. When finished hook battery back up and drive around for 20 minutes or so with all accessories off. This will allow the computer to relearn a properly functioning throttle body. While unbolting the throttle body to clean it on both sides, is best, this method will also work for you and solve your problem. Can be done for the cost of a can of TB cleaner $5.

Car idles low when blower is on and when you turn tires left or right and car quits

You need to clean the throttle body, grime build up on throttle plate and passage cause incorrect air flow at idle. Make sure to disconnect battery for about 20 minutes while performing TB cleaning so PCM can relearn to the cleaned TB.

I just change my car battery in my gmc 203xl envoy but its running with less power and shake when i slow down what is wrong please can u tell me thanks

Clean your throttle body with throttle body cleaner, must be nice and shiny. Do this with the battery disconnected. When finished, hook the battery back up and drive around for 20 minutes or so, so the computer can relearn the newly cleaned TB. Your computer learned some bad habits with the dirty throttle body, so when you disconnected the battery, it thought the throttle body was clean, therefore, you'll get performance problems. Especially when the defrost or A/C is on.

Sounds like you may have disconnected the battery. Does the rough idle only happen when the defroster or A/C is on? If so clean your throttle body with throttle body cleaner with the battery disconnected. When finished, drive it for 5 or so miles with the defroster / AC off to let the computer relearn the settings. This will solve your problem.
