The problem could be the catalytic converter. Pressure check the exhaust system. Check to see if the engine mixture is running too rich. Don't forget the fuel octane. Use the recommended octane. Nothing less.
It could be time for a new catalytic converter. They last a long time but do fail for a variety of reasons.

Your catalytic converter is plugged up,
If you check the exhaust output at the tailpipe you will find it restricted.

SOUND LIKE YOU HAVE A INTAKE MANIFOLD VACUUM LEAK.CAUSING RICH GAS MIXTURE CAUSING UNBURN RAW FUEL COLLECT AT CATALYTIC CONVERTER AND BURN CAUSING ROTTEN SULFUR SMELL.

its your alternator voltage regular failed and your alternator is isnt being limited to 12 vots and its overpowering your electric system. the smell of rotten eggs is your battery over heating and the acid inside is boiling giving off the sulfur based smell. this is unhealthy for you to breath and is a sure sign that your car needs to be repaired. you need to replace your alterantor and battery immeditly or it coud damage your vehicals computer. The new altenator will have a new regulator in it and you will be good.
