1999land roverD2 engine light was on before. Got a new battery now w/ new one engine light is blinking and when at stop it vibrates a little

it indicates a problem and should be investigated immediately
it reports on the engine ( check oil level, water level, charge rate ) and transmission ( check oil level if auto and gear selection process)
have the fault codes run asap to determine if the problem is going to costly or just sensor failure

Do not drvie,OBD2 code reader to read codes.coils,module,tune up.

How many times are you going to post this? Check coolant temp sensor.

why did you add oil, without checking what the light says?
only light that blinks is the maint, required light, it tells you that you need to change your oil, then you need to reset it, follow your manual to reset

check battery terminals and posts are shiny clean and tight. Check earth wire from battery is tight on the engine or block. Check for loose fusible link.. The problem Is the main power lead from the battery has an intermittent connection. If the battery is not off the shelf new but a friends new battery then have it load tested for a faulty bridge or cell

If there are no check engine lights could be a bad motor mount or two. Would have them checked. Try putting car in neutral and see if vibration disapates a little.

The check engine light flashing mean the engine is misfiring. Sound like you need a tune-up.

Are you getting any error codes? Is the check engine light on and/or blinking? The vibrating and other symptoms you described are common from shorted ignition coils. It also sounds like there's a separate issue with power steering - check your fluids, pump, and hoses.

check tps sensor (throttle position sensor in backside of the throttle cable) and map sensor (manifold absolute pressure on front little 1 inch sensor with vacuum line) make sure there plugged in. the ecm (engine control module driver side inner fender) and tcm (transmission control module under dash) both need the data to know when to upshift and increase fuel/air. Otherwise the computer runs default values and guesses off of other sensors giving poor performance. also disconnect battery for 15 min. usually resets aveo service lights if you dont have a scanner.

Engine vibration is the cause of this issue, it is the biggest complaint from many owners, changing the engine mounts will help, as mounts age the rubber gets hard and they don't absorb vibration like they should, new mounts help issue, but it will no stop it altogether. A faulty MAF will not cause vibration, just a hesitation on acceleration at times
