SOURCE: 2003 dodge durango stuck in park.

it is your interlock solenoid or switch on your brake pedal. This keeps you from starting your car in anything but park.

2003 Dodge Dakota is stuck on defrost, only blowing hot air. A/C will not turn in, mirror defrost will not turn on. Just replaced blower motor resistor to fix fan not coming on. Fan is working.

Can you measure and VOLTAGE across the resistor?

Here is a GREAT Link (in my estimation):

Yes it's for a DURANGO but the process may help you!

Joe, have you seen THIS link?

Also there is this possibility:

Rear defrost on dodge durango not working

I'd check the most obvious culprits first. IE: a fuse, the rear defroster switch. If both of those are good use a continuity tester (included with most multi-meters) to ensure the heater elements on the glass aren't broken anywhere. (It should be a continuous grid with NO opens/gaps/breaks.)

Check to see if the brake light switch under the dash at the brake pedal is bad before you go too much further.

My 2003 dodge durango keeps overheating , i just had new radiator put in and it started overheating again but now it is overheating with a very loud screeching noise like a belt sound what could be ca

as for noise will have to inspect under hood, could be fan or belt or pulley ,water pump .these are some things it could...My suggestion for overheating is replace thermostat. If your car has electric cooling fan then it may not be working..turn defrost on and if fan kicks on then fan motor is good..Now this does not mean that fan is working properly because fan is controlled by heat sensor switch that kicks fan on when motor reaches heat range......Things i would have checked....hope this information helps and good luck and Please rate my post...

I have dodge durango 2003,my brake lights doesn't work, i all ready change all bulbs, fuses, and swicht and the back light doesnt work, just only work the brake light on the top of the rear gate.

Do you have a hitch on this vehicle? If so, check to make sure the line didn't come unplugged from the wiring running back the hitch wiring. You may ahve to drop the spare tire down to do this.
