Remove fuse for headlamp washer relay and leave out.

See if battery then holds charge for a day or two. If battery holds charge with washer relay fuse removed, you've isolated the fault.

If not, problem elsewhere.

Could be a bad "ground", ground cable, or a short in a system.
Possibly the voltage regulator is not recharging the battery when the vehicle is running or even as simple as battery connections are dirty and loose.

It would appear that the relay is located on the cross rail that runs across the front of the vehicle (in front of the radiator). I found out that it is riveted in place by a single rivet, so in order to replace mine, I will have to remove the rivet and use a self-tapping screw to secure a new one.
The fan relay is located in the fuse panel located under the hood beside the battery. It will be marked under the lid. Make sure you check the maxi fuse for the fan also.

Demand a recall or maybe there is one. I know Dodge has electrical problems with the way they made their vehicles. Many of there vehicles have trouble.

the cooling fan relay is not in the fuse box.

it is a solid state relay bolted to the radiator core support just behind the bumper

The fuse box is located under the hood. There is component map printed on the inside of the cover. This tells you on your model where the fuse or relay is located

My lights inside my 1998 caravan stay on when i turn off the switch, but they go off when i close the doors.all i hear is a clicking noise in van and my battery keeps going dead

Just look in your Manual and find the fuse that controls your interior lights. check the relay for the interior lights, if you have one ! the clicking has to be a relay for interior lights. good-day !

Why is the battery light on in my 2002 grand caravan? New battery, new starter. Plz help.

the battery light has to do with the alternator. many times it is the fuse to the alternator. there are fusible links that are cosidered fuses. Look for a loose or corroded connection going into the front fuse block.

sounds like you have a security problem, (antitheft) , when it acts up take the key and put it in the outside door lock switch with the door shut and window down and lock and unlock the drivers door with the key,it should quit, if not try locking and unlocking car with key fob(remote lock, unlock switch on key chain), if that dont work , you have further prob. with security system and take it to a shop. if it quits with the key process and then comes back on , the sensitivity might be to high. does the horn go off with the lights?

The dodge caravan will not start one out of 6 times. them you try again and it starts. l checked the battery and the starter. what could it be? lt seems to have power and then none and then it will start...

when you turn the key and it doesn't start can you hear the starter turn the engine over or do you just hear a single click and the engine is not turning over. If you hear the click and the engine does not turn over a new starter will usually take care of it.
