The purge valve is right at the canister. they call it a vent valve. I picked a 3.5L engine. But for the most part, they are all the same

Some 2012-2013 Ford Edge and Explorer vehicles equipped with the 2.0L GTDI (gasoline turbocharged direct injection) engine may exhibit DTC P1015 or P1016.
1. Inspect all hoses routed to the turbocharger wastegate regulating valve solenoid for disconnection or damage. Repair as needed.
2. If no hose problem is found, replace the turbocharger wastegate regulating valve solenoid. Torque the two 8 mm retaining bolts to 90 in.-lbs. If equipped, remove the shield covering the filter and discard.
The new turbocharger wastegate regulating valve solenoid is available as P/N CB5Z-9E882-A.

This code indicates a purge flow problem in the evap emissions. It could be caused by a disconnected hose/disconnected purge valve/defective purge valve/computer or wiring issue. Has any work been performed under the hood? Air filter replaced? that may have led to a hose coming off? This vehicle is under warranty. Give the dealer a call and they will correct the problem for you

the purge valve is part of the EVAP system. p0441 is usually set when the ECM can not monitor the purge valve performance. the EVAP system takes the gas fumes out of the tank and purges them into your intake system while you drive the car. if the ECM doesn't see a drop in fuel tank pressure then it sets the code. most common failure is the purge valve malfunctions or loss of power or ground signal to the purge valve.
