Could be a sensor , but without testing , this would be a guess ! Have seen TPS - throttle position sensors on chysler products do this , Mass air flow sensors on GM vehicles , plus bad IAC - idle air control motor . Don't think you would like to replace all these parts , your best bet , take it to a qualified repair shop . Have it tested !

The fuel filter is not replaced except when the in tank electric fuel pump is replaced, it all comes as one piece. There is no "in line" filter. This is true of all late model Chrysler cars and trucks and vans.

Make sure your air filter is not clogged. Fuel may not be reaching the fuel injection system correctly or at all. Check your battery connections, especially the ground wire. You may have a faulty coolant temperature sensor or intake air temperature sensor. This is straight from the manual of the Sebring. Hope this helps some. I am here if you have a question.

These newer cars have a safety as part of the brake pedal system. Check along the brake pedal to see if the switch is misaligned or disconnected. This is to prevent someone from pressing the accelerator while taking the vehicle out park and causing an accident. Good luck

You may have a faulty gas cap. If you are tightening the cap down securely the light will go off after the car is driven about 40 miles. I suggest installing a new gas cap which should cost about $15 at your local auto parts store. *** Please rate me on this answer.***

Idle Air Control valve? If you give the car a bit of accelerator can you sustain the engine running? Once warmed up the engine will probably sustain itself needing no extra help. Once in this state if you turn the steering and the revs die to the point of engine stalls then this almost certainly time for a new IAC.

battery is probably low try checking the alternator

My 2000 Chrysler Concorde does the same exact thing. Had the shop put a computer on the car and the oxygen sensor was out of whack but that didn't give them much help on a solution. They think it's the fuel pump, but don't want to work on it until a better lead is found. Did you try anything that worked?

check the idle air motor it may have failed
