Notify the manufacturer or check with auto electronic shops in your area
From the maker, ask them only and even ask for upgrades.
and they are dangerous devices.
even ******* in some states.
never use one parked inside a garage.
CO the silent killler, etc.
the good ones (and oxymoron) have lots of inputs now that make it go dead. even door locks and more,
OEM RS , blocks for huge list of things even any DTC errors from any computer in the car takes it off line, <<<<< see what OEM did
very telling that.
SOURCE: keyless remote programming insyructions
If the remote is generic you will need the factory remote to "clone" the signal to the new remote.
With your oem pontiac remote you may need to visit any GM service center to have the remote set to the cars receiver. There are literally 100,000 different variables GM uses to ensure one remote can't work the wrong car. A typical key programming will run you between $30-$60 depending on how much greed the technician has. Some good technicians will do this job for free simply to make a customer happy so you may wish to call around.

SOURCE: 2007 Chevy Silverado when my check engine light
It's a safety feature. For example, if there is no oil pressure when you start the engine, you could not see that unless you were in the car and could spin a bearing or seize the engine by starting it remotely and letting it run unattended. So when the check engine light is on, there is something not working properly with the engine/engine management system and it wants you in the car where you can see the guages and turn the engine off immediately if there's a serious problem.
SOURCE: Where are the fuses for Onstar, satellite radio
Comments from the dealership, the fuse location
for the Onstar system is located as follows: Drivers-side
instrument panel fuse block, exposed on the left edge of the panel when
the drivers door is open. Pull the fuse labeled: #22, a 10A fuse. The
label in the owners manual calls it the "Driver Information Center
(DIC)". This will disable the ONSTAR system.
Leave to GM
to move the fuse locations around, this used to be under the hood and
it was called the INFO fuse and it was a 15a fuse.
And yes....It does **** that
they moved it from the '07s,on mine its a 15amp fuse under the hood
marked 'INFOTNMT" like you said.
