Question about Cadillac Cars & Trucks
The idle speed actuator has been the culprit. Your P027 code tells you there's probably a problem with the switch inside the actuator. The actuator is a black device, about 3"x2"x2", with a plunger sticking out of it that pushes on the throttle linkage at the throttle body. If you're skilled in repairing small devices, sometimes the actuator can be disassembled, cleaned and lubed, and it'll be fine again, otherwise you'll need a new one, about $125 to $150. It's only held on by 3 little nuts, but one of them is a pain to get to. Also, the nuts are stainless, so if you drop one into a tight spot, you can't fish it out with a magnet.

o2 will not make your car do that you have other issues check for secondary ignition miss or primary ignition miss sounds like you are dropping a cylinder dumping raw fuel to contaminate 02 sensor find the real problem to fix your light

Check your EGR valve make sure that is working properly, if it is then go to the fuel pump, just a cheaper fix to go after the EGR then the fuel pump

When you disconnect a spark plug wire, do you get spark when you crank the engine over?
When you turn the key to the "run" position (do not crank) do you here the fuel pump run for 2 - 3 seconds?
Let me know.

WHEN ENGINE GOES CLOSED LOOP TO OPEN LOOP.YOU HAVE A RICH FUEL MIXTURE.YOU HAVE A VACUUM LEAK.BY YOU HAVING ROUGH IDLING.AND A HIGH MILEAGE ENGINE I WOULD DO A COMPRESSION TEST OR CYLINDER LEAK DOWN. CHECK FOR LEAKING VALVES AND LOW COMPRESSION .THEY BOTH WILL CAUSE ENGINE TO IDLE ROUGH CAUSE MISFIRE.CAUSE OPEN LOOP CONTAMINATE HO2 SENSOR CAUSE A RICH FUEL MIXTURE.

SOURCE: engine cuts off
If it cuts out after driving a while, one or both fuel pumps are a common culprit. After they warm up, they have a tendency to "fail" for a short while. When they cool back down, they work again. If you don't have any problems caused by lack of fuel while the car is still running, i'd suggest replacing the in-tank pump. If your car lacks power while it's running, your problem is most likely the secondary fuel pump, which provides the fuel system with the higher pressurse required for proper high speed operations. Also, do your fuel filter at the same time, to prevent other problems.
