How to reprogram my tcm and pcm 2005 Ford 500 3.0L v6

real; name is Explorer sport trac
no engine told or transmission
tranny's torque rating, match engine, 4.0 and 4.6 (v6 and v8)
the 4.6 uses 5R55S tranny. or 6R60,
both are located in the PCM both boxes.

most cars the TCM brain was moved long long ago
to the ECM and renamed PCM. !
some car with diesel or turbo, may have a real TCM

the service manual cover all this. every bit.
resetting the TCM causes it to go to relearn mode even learning drivers habits.
my question is why does this matter?"????

the TCM below is NOT PNP ,.NOT plug and play, the PCM must be reprogrammed to swap in any new TCM

ask ford that, merc,ford, call them.

the PCM (that has tcm inside) must be proprogrammed for lots of things, Odometer, VIN, , security and engine type and what transmission is there, for 2 or 3 types.\
and key options on the car, like Radio. there. of 6
i bet the computer is not bad, PCM
inputs to a computer must be good or outputs will be wrong! (rule of GIGO garbage in ,garbage out)
all inputs and output actuators must be good!! ALL!

cam jumped time is an easy fix if head valves not bent/
never checked all fuses and scan the PCM for errors?
so engine died but the starter cranks fast or what?
V6 is chain cam the chain wrecked?
and is interference engine, got this? DOHC 4 cams.
means never let the chain fail.

I4 is chain cam. and has hydra,chain tension'er that must not be bad. or chain goes wild. cheap fix that.\
free running engine, no bent valves deals.
spark timing is fixed in the PCM. not adjustable ever.

find a real ASE shop and end guessing.
they do the tests and deep inspections to learn truth,.

i get my PCM from CARDONE
and it says clear as day flash programing.
and did not lie

9x out of 10 scans the PCM as you crank any dead engine and it tells you why it did.
sure P0-3xx errors for cam/crank, cmp/ckp sensor out of sync when the chain fails
but gee the chain warned you in advance (I WILL FAIL HARD SOOn with huge racket of noise top of engine)

pull battery neg lug for 1hour.

this resets all brains in the car, even lost radio channels saved, sorry

find he TCM , my guess its inside the PCM
'find the PCM memory fuse, ours are called IOD fuses.
pull it for 1hr.
F1.20 (10amps) is memory I think. PCM it is hot all times.
BJB ,battery fuse box, top center fuse 1.20. to left of 1.9

L32
Engine - Gas, 6 Cylinder, 3.8L, SFI, V6 L32
Engine - Gas, 6 Cylinder, 3.8L, SFI, V6 Supercharged, GM

If it's the 3.8l L32
Engine - Gas, 6 Cylinder, 3.8L, SFI, V6 Supercharged, GM you don't have a TCM module . you have the PCM

What year ? an why ? Depending on the year it will need to be reprogrammed an the dealer is only one that can do that !

the tcm is part of the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). it is located behind the glovebox and the trouble you will have is the module will need to be reprogramed to your VIN specific vehicle and keys programmed

EVERY THING HAS TO BE REPROGRAMMED DEALERSHIP HAS THE DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT TO RESET PCM , TCM AND THEFT SECURITY ANY TIME REPLACE COMPUTER TRANSMISSION OR ENGINE EVERY THING HAS TO BE REPROGRAMMED.

TRANSMISSION HAS TO BE REPROGRAMMED IF NEW ELECTRONIC PARTS PUT IN OR YOU BUY A NEW TRANSMISSION.BECAUSE TRANSMISSION IS PCM AND TCM CONTROLLED NEW PARTS HAS TO BE REPROGRAMMED TO THE PCM AND TCM BEFORE TRANSMISSION WILL SHIFT CORRECT.
