Yes there a good way to fix I have a 2000 Mercedes s430 minds was just like your at Walmart auto department I found a good steering wheel cover it had wood trim n leather for around 15.00 at. First I though a but it to small till a friend show me u hav e to install beginning from the top a straight it kind for forfeit on n it look like a from the factory good luck keep in touch

Most likely 3 screws hold the armrest lid on.Towards the back.

Easiest way for me to help you was to printscreen the pages of mitchell of use windows paint to make .jpgs with them. Should be all you need to do it since this is the only info you will get from mercedes shop manual. Hope this helps! :)

there should be a disconnect either in the harness or at the motor that needs removed .. then it comes out.

Most often this is due to a loose armrest mounting bolt or worn limit washer, unzip the cover and tighten the arm rest first, it is most likely a T45 Torx female bolt head AKA star drive.

I would think that you could only get an armrest cover from a junk yard. If you went to the Ford dealership, they would probably want to sell you the leather for the entire seat and would be very expensive. Your best option may be to have someone make a cover out of matching leather by following the design of the other armrest cover in the car. Contact me at FixYa if I can be of further assistance. You can have an upholstery shop replace that worn area. Other than that there is no way to restore worn out leather.

well i hate to tell ya this, but regular wear and tear of your vehicle isn't ever covered, its known that if you rub on some thing enough it will wear out. leather seats will crack when cold, they don't tell you to not sit down if your seats are cold, they don't tell you not to stab your seat with a knife, but that will ruin it. i'm not trying to be a **** but it happens. you can try to clean it though with leather conditioners, and cleaners, and you can try to put some thing over it to keep this from getting worse, other than that all I can tell you is to try to keep your arm off of this panel.

experiment and try to figure it out or go to an uphostery company.
