Question about Honda Accord
I would like to do it my self to put on a head and a 2003 honda accord how much do you give the head bolt
White smoke out of the exhaust is one indication that the head gasket is blown. Another is to start the car and check the oil on the dipstick. If it's frothy or looks like a milkshake, this is another indication of a blown head gasket. The milky appearance indicates that coolant is in your engine, caused by a bad head gasket. SOURCE: torque specs for head bolts
The head bolt torque is a three step procedure:
1. 29 ft. lbs.
2. 51 ft. lbs.
3. 78 ft. lbs.

Install the cylinder, then tighten the cylinder head bolts sequentially in 3 steps. step 1. 29 ft. lbs. step 2. 51 ft. lbs. step 3. 72 ft. lbs.
