Misfire code P0302 on cylinder 2, however I replaced the injector and it didn't seem to fix anything. It has a really rough idle, and struggles under a load while driving. I can mash the gas and it will go, but it dies as soon as I let off. I replaced the fuel pump, and cleaned the tank; still no change. I can unplug the injector on cylinder 1-3, and it runs the same. could the injectors all be clogged, even the one ijust replaced? or is this a elctrial issue, i.e. sensor, relay, timing?
i replaced the plugs and wires about 6 moths ago when i had the head rebuit. I did a compression check first thing to make sure i didnt have a valve sticking, and all 6 cylinders are good. could a tps or a camshaft position sensor cause this?i replaced the plugs and wires about 6 moths ago when i had the head rebuit. It has a distributor. The cap and rotor are about 1 year old, but I will chk that... I have not checked the coil yet, but I thought when a vehicle is equipped with a distributor that the coil is all or nothing? Can anything else cause is to act like it is starving for fuel? If I unplug injector 1 thru 3 it still runs the same, almost seems like they are all clogged. but what are the chances that 3 injectors would go bad simultaneously; one of which is literally brand new!?It has a distributor. Hi,
I would suggest you look at the Coil and leads first as they are more likely to give a misfire also check the spark plugs and clean?replace them, you could check the compression on the cylinders to just to make sure,if you need more help E-mail me and i`ll try and help further,be carefull as there is up to 80,000 volts coming down the HT leads.
Hi ,Ok PCM =power train control module ECM =engine/electronic control module, all same thing it is the electronic brainfor the engine management system,You still haven`t said you checked the Coil ? or the distributor cap and rotor ? does it have a coil pack or Distributor ?.let me know. Hi ,ok ,if you have a good spark at the plugs then you need to start checking electrical circuits, if you have an led test lamp you can check to see that the injectors are pulsing by back probing the switching wire on the injector plug if there is no pulse then you need to carry out a continuity check to the PCM from the injector plug if you have a circuit then suspect internal PCM failure of the Injector drivers,BUT get the PCM tested first to make sure .some diagnostic machines will let you pulse the injectors manually by actuation of the pcm if this all sounds to complicated ,give it to a good auto electrician and Jeep specialist ,hope this helps

After Checking the Harness & Plugs The Only Link is ECP / PCM < Sounds as if you Have Covered ALL Bases so These are Where I Would Go Next <<< I Had the Same Symptom on an Older Chrysler and Turned out to be ECM

A misfire can be caused by a few things. The most common causes are usually spark supply or fuel supply. Get BOTH of these checked.
All the misfires are on the same side of the engine so I would suspect a fuel rail or an injector issue on that side of the engine.
You need to have the injector circuit for cylinder 2 checked. Possibly the ground for the injector-which goes into the engine computer-may have a bad wire. The power wire for the injector should have power on it anytime the key is on. When the computer internally grounds the individual injectors, the injector will pulse, or spray fuel out into the cylinder. When the injector circuit malfunctions, no pulse, and you get the misfire.
p0302 is number 2 cylinder misfire. it could be anything from plug, plugwire, or the coil for that cylinder. check plug and or wire first. have a good day ! p0303 is # 3 cylinder etc.
P0300 Random Misfire Detected P0301 Cylinder 1 Misfire Detected P0302 Cylinder 2 Misfire Detected P0303 Cylinder 3 Misfire Detected according to this fault codes first mark ignition coils 3 ---------------- 6 2 ---------------- 5 1 ---------------- 4 RB-------------LB this right banks and left bank, please remove Ignition coils with lids and spark plugs from right bank and swap with left bank, if fault code change as P 0304 Cylinder 4 Misfire Detected P 0305 Cylinder 5 Misfire Detected P 0306 Cylinder 6 Misfire Detected You can Identify it's a faulty ignition system then next swap ignition lids from ignition coils be careful each coils have two lids one short and other long bit deference and when you remove and fix it to the car keep in mind correct order because each coil two different fire for two spark plugs don't mix up, if you mix it can create the fault code.if you detect any fault ignition coils or spark plugs or lids replace that and also whether god or bad recommend to replace spark plugs, find the right that's most important thing, if this way couldn't found the any ignition fault next step is check fuel presser, when the engine running fuel presser must be around 4.5 bar without engine running must be 4 to 6 bar if the fuel presser too low need to check two different things one is fuel pump other is fuel injectors, in this case you can swap injectors from right bank to left bank and find is the injectors leaking, if not leaking faulty fuel pump.is this information helped you? if yes please leave a comment,
P0301 - Cylinder 1 misfire detected........P0302 - Cylinder 2 misfire deteced, and so on........so either it is a current misfire, which you would be running on 4 cylinders instead of 3, or it is an intermittent problem.......i will provide some possiblities,,,
- ignition system (spark plugs, leads, coil packs)
- fuel system (injectors, ecu etc)
- running out of fuel
- low compression
Basically, if your vehciel has not had service for a while, change the spark plugs, and engine oil, and give her some loving, tender care....
However, if it is regularly servicedm there might be a bigger problem.....

forgive me, but ECP stands for?
PCM stands for?
