Hi can I open the Alfa 159 hood if the battery is flat and the key won't work

get a pair of needle nose pliers and pull the cable with it it..should open the hood so u can check ur engine fluids also try pulling it and have someone tap the hood with their palm .. sometimes this also works ..

The trunk latch is operated by a solenoid which it requires power to operate. since the batery is flat then it won't work. I'm not sure where the positive terminal is under the hood but you can connect the positive lead to the alternator wire terminal, and the negative lead can be connected any where on the engine.

Sir it's impossible to open the hood from the outside if it's locked. There's no way to enter the door for the battery is dead. It's sad to say that the only option we got is to break the side glass to gain access to the locks. It's the only easiest way though I know it's sound crazy.
