SOURCE: 1997 dodge dakota signal/hazard problem

This vehicle has what is known as a flasher unit, it is a relay assembly under the dash. This is the relay that clicks when your signals are on. it may need to be replaced. Another possible trouble spot could be the wiring in the steering column. Are there any other issues with horn, cruise etc.
Check the flasher first and get back to me.

SOURCE: ac clutch going out on 93 dodge dakota

If the clutch is noisy from a bad bearing then don't drive far,if the compressor clutch pulley bearing seizes up it will freeze the pulley and the belt will burn off, and you are stuck, if you mean the anything else besides this drive it.

SOURCE: replacing fuel filter

Unfortunatly most dakotas have an inline fuel filter, its located in the gas tank because there not supposed to need regular maintenance or changing. Basically you have to drop your gas tank to get the fuel filter out.

I have a 1997 dakota 5.2 motor. Had to replace fan blade & clutch. Im putting a new water pump on now. if i still have noise what other things should i check.

Alternator, A/C Compressor, Power-steering pump, smog pump, idler pully(s).

I would pull the belt(s) and check each pulley for wobble or rough spinning.

How do you change the water pump on a 1997 Dodge Dakota 6cyl 3.9liter w/ air?

1. Drain the cooling system.
2. Remove or disconnect the following:
* Negative battery cable
* Fan and clutch assembly from the pump
* Fan shroud and fan assembly.
* If you're reusing the fan clutch, keep it upright to avoid silicone fluid loss!
* Lower hose
* Water pump (8 bolts)
3. Installation is the reverse of removal. Tighten the bolts, in sequence, to 40 ft. lbs. (54 Nm).
