Check for loose or dirty battery terminals and posts, could also be a faulty circuit breaker if fitted.

Check fuel pressure. Sounds like a bad pump or plugged fuel filter.

SOURCE: Dies after running about 2 minutes

It's got all the symptoms of a leak in the fuel line. You may want to start backward at the tank and work your way all the way to the carb to find it but it would be surprising if it was something else. All the best.

SOURCE: hyundai elantra stalls loss of power while

I just had this problem on a 2001 elantra. I took it in for repair: the MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure/ intake air temp) sensor was shot. $150 later it works just fine.

2007 chevy 2500 died while driving down the road. Lights/radio still work

The battery light was on because the engine stopped running. The alternator was not charging the battery.
On a model that new, if the engine did overheat the computer could kill it. A stuck thermostat comes to mind. But your temp gauge should have been on the hot side.
Its also possible something locked up and is preventing the engine from cranking, such as the water pump or alternator. You may need to remove the belt to verify. If the belt is slipping it would not power the water pump to keep the engine cool.

Big strange noise, when crank engine, for few seconds

it depends. we need to know a lot more like:
-oil weight used
-when does it happen (morning,afternoon)
-does it happen when hot or cold
-are you driving it offroad

if you had a shortblock replaced at 8000km that tells me something about YOUR driving habits and how you maintain a vehicle

My 87 plymouth sundance has a brand new battery and been through 2 new alternators. intalled the new alternators ,battery had to be jujmped off but then battery charged fine, a few months later decided to...

The power loss light goes on as a result of the alternator being bad.
Are you getting 'lifetime' guaranteed rebuilt alternators to replace the old ones?
If not, then the quality of the parts may not be good enough to run in your application.

Are the connections clean and shiny when removed?

I RECENTLY had my engine replaced in my 2001 hyundai Elantra. This 'new' engine supposedly has only 10k miles on it. A new alternator had to be installed. The work was done by the dealer. I have had the...

The odds are the alternator is the problem again. I've installed brand new alternators in the shop that turned out bad. The battery barely had enough juice the crank the car and get it running. Then, the battery was the only thing keeping the engine running with the spark plug until the battery drain completely dead.

If the alternator was working normally, the alternator would have kept the energy up and keep the spark plugs going without the battery's help.

Basically, the battery's job is to start the engine only and the alternator's job is to keep the battery charged and supply energy for the car's needs.
