That could be serious and it is unlikely you can fix it yourself. You should take it to a mechanic.

before you can get into spark plugs your have to remove plastic covers then also remove the plastics on the bulk head unless you have small hands to get into back plug ---- after you have don this you have to then remove each individual connector on plug --- these can be tricky you have to twist unlitl they release and you could get into plug --- hope this helps
I would suggest you check the obvious things first like your oil level as low oil can make an engine noisier.
Now a few questions. Is it a loud noise or a quiet one. Is it all the time or does it come and go? Is it a 'machine gun' like rattle that changes speed with the engine? Is it more of an occasional squealing sound?
I would advise you not to use the vehicle as you could be doing more damage. A very short run to a mechanic's shop would be ok but still not advised.
