SOURCE: Dodge ram 1500 will not start, battery will not

Check the starter motor, the starter solenoid and if it's automatic... the neutral safety switch.
If it's standard, the clutch has a switch which locks out the starter unless completely depressed. Check the switch for continuity.

2007 GMC Sierra 1500 with Viper alarm 7146V. Why does the blue light stay on solid and why does it keep unlocking the doors by itself?

After Market alarms are always full of issues especially when the batteries are disconnected of the car batteries are disconnected.

Find a Viper Alarms installer and take it in for reprogramming with their pro grade scan tool computer.

I assume the factory alarm was somehow bypassed when they installed the remote start is there a way I can make the factory alarm work when the doors are opened without key,?

To arm content theft alarm.
1. Open the door.
2. Lock the door with the power door lock switch or
the remote keyless entry transmitter. The
SECURITY light should flash.
3. Close all doors. The SECURITY light should go off
after approximately 30 seconds. The alarm is not
armed until the SECURITY light goes off.

If a locked door is opened without the key or the remote keyless entry transmitter, the alarm will go off. The headlamps and parking lamps will flash for two minutes, and the horn will sound for 30 seconds, then will turn off to save the battery power.

I had to jump start my 2003 GMC Sierra 1500 and ever since the remote fob will not work, I can still lock using the manual door switch or key, the red light blinks and the on dash security icon...

try ignition with key in and turn to number 2 and press fob button if the doors lock its worked, it f not you need to remove the battery negative and turn ignition on and lights and leave on for a few moments then turn all off again, then fit battery and do the first part again. hope this helps you.

How can i tell if my 1990 gmc 1500 has keyless entry

All pre 1995 GMC vehicles had to have an alarm system to have keyless entry... So, lift the hood and look for a red LED near the right front of the vehicle. If none - you don't have keyless... if yes, the you do.... and an alarm system too.

Remote starter does not work but will unlock and lock doors.

depending on your alarm which it sounds like a viper model maybe? on my 02 you have to incorporate a factory alarm bypass module in order to be able to start the truck, they run about 100.00 bucks and have to be profssionally installed. The truck wont start because the computer isnt recieving the proper starting sequence due to the factory alarm
