The fan relay and fuse is located in a plastic box located under the hood on top of the fenderwell close to the battery.......Should be a 20 amp fuse....Don't over heat that engine....very expensive......also check temp. sensor in the thermostat housing or intake manifold..........

SOURCE: LOCATION FAN RELAY

The relay is under the right front headlamp assembly and bracket. You can access it two ways. Remove the front bumper facia, headlights, and bracket assembly. The grill is part of the facia and the headlight bracket runs all the way across the front. Or you can remove the right headlamp and use a hole saw to cut through the bracket, it is a plastic material.

SOURCE: Where is location of cooling fan relay?

Under the hood on the drivers side, just forward of the shock tower, you will see what is called an "under hood fuse center". On the cover you can see the various fuses and relays that are located in the fuse center.
One of those relays is the coolant fan relay. Remove the top cover of the fuse center to gain access to the relay.
Hope this answers your question, good luck.

SOURCE: Radiator cooling fan fuse location for Ford Taurus

The cooling fan on a ford car usually does not have a fuse. The cooling fans are controlled by a relay in the power distribution box inside the engine compartment. The box is usually located near the battery. Your owners manual should have a guide showing you what each relay in the box is for.

2005 gmc yukon fan relay location

In the under hood fuse / relay box ! There are three of them COOLFAN/relay 1-2-3 . It's marked on the under side of fuse box lid .
The engine cooling fan system consists of 2 electrical cooling fans and 3 fan relays. The relays are arranged in a series/parallel configuration that allows the powertrain control module (PCM) to operate both fans together at low or high speeds. The cooling fans and fan relays receive battery positive voltage from the underhood fuse block.

Why does my fan keep running in my 2003 Volvo S 60 after the car is off?

It can be faulty fan relay. The relay is not turning the system off.Or its wire short issue.Even with ignition off ,the fan relay is getting power so its not letting the fan to turn off.Bypass the fan control relay and see if still the fan works with ignition off or not.

Location of cooling fan fuse

The radiator cooling fan on your 1990 Ford Thunderbird Super-Coupe is supplied power via the BLACK, 18 Gauge, fusible link near the battery.
If your cooling fan is not getting any power to operate (and you are certain that the fan motor is in good working order) the most likely cause of you fan not working is a failure in the Constant Control Relay Module (CCRM), which is mounted to the upper radiator support.

I have replaced many of these because the circuit boards inside them like to burn.

HERE IS HOW TO TEST IT:

Check for power at the CCRM on pins 3 and 4 BLACK/ORANGE wires. If there is power there, the fusible link is good. If there is no power at these connectors, repair the fusible link or the circuit between the fusible link and the CCRM.

Then, the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) turns the fan on by grounding the fan relays inside the CCRM at Pins 14 and 17.

So if you have power on the BLACK ORANGE wires, You should be able to manually turn the fan on by grounding Pin 14 (TAN/ORANGE) for fan LOW speed and Pin 17 (GREEN/PURPLE) for fan HIGH speed.

If grounding these wires does not get the power to come on at the fan motor, then the CCRM needs to be replaced.

If this makes the power come on (at the motor connector) but the motor will not run, then you need to replace the fan motor.

If grounding these wires makes the motor run, you have a problem with the engine coolant temperature sensor or the PCM.

Location of fan relay or fuse for motor

I have a 94 Thunderbird SC and the relay is located on the passenger side of the engine compartment behind the headlight assembly and to the left of the radiator. You should see a rectangular shaped relay tucked in there.

1993 pontiac bonneville electric cooling fans relay location

Hi, check.........I need to know which fuse runs the cooling... on this forum thread. Its not a fuse if the fan turns but could be fan relay. Unplug the coolant temp sensor lovated just below the thermostat houing and see if the fans come on. If they do, it might be the coolant sensor that is bad.
