SOURCE: I have a 1992 Daihatsu
FYI, In the USA they're Rocky's, in the UK they're called Sportracks and in Australia they are Ferozas But they are all F300s (narrow track) or F310s (wide track). Other countries also use one of these three names (I think most of Europe use the Feroza title). There's also a slightly larger variant with a 2 ltr, 2.8 ltr and 2.8 ltr turbo which, in Australia is called a Rocky, In the UK it's a Fourtrack but I'm not sure about the USA. www.warfs.org (USA) and www.outerlimits4x4.com (AUS) are both excellent resources for further information. NB You need to register with outerlimits4x4 before you can see the Daihatsu link.

SOURCE: where is the coolant temp
There are 2 sensors. One is used for the temperature guage Single wire connection - Yellow/white(1 on diagram). The one I suspect you are looking for is used by the ECU and is at the back of the engine, has a green connecting head with 2 wires leading to it, yellow and white/black(2 on diagram). Then there is a third used by the A/C(iii on diagram)
