Need location of vent control valve on a 2008 QX56 infiniti
On canister 1/4 turn to remove for the type that has not got two 10mm screws. The new type valve is metal and you can add a filter from 2008 model too

those are not fun ....they can be found in the rear of motor right above transmission bell housing .I cant decide if popping the tranny out is worth the fight you will have attempting to do it up above laying over the motor with virtually no clearance to remove it but I have done it both ways. I guess the most sensible way is to remove the transmission and access it from underneath.

There's a vaccuum line that runs off the SCV to the SCV check switch.
P0442: Have you inspected the lines, charcoal cannister etc? Make sure the fuel cap is tight. The easiest way to check the system is to have someone perform a smoke test. I had a DTC on my car which indicated a EVAP problem, it turned out to be the Fuel tank evaporator Control Solenoid.

Take off the negative battery cable overnight. All the settings should return to factory default. (I have a 05 Armada)
