When changing batterys to fobs some times you have to reprogramme them to the car , go on youtube and ask the same question as a few cars need to reset different ways

My Genesis has the battery in the trunk and the owners manual shows using the key hidden in the FOB and using the keyhole under the trunk lid. Why does your key "blade" not work?
only by by using jag diagnostic tool. if its a previously good fob that worked on your car the battery/ holder could be the problem.if its a replacement the car has to be programmed to accept it.
Switch off engine and it will reset as mine has done. Also my XF, got stuck in park and would not move with engine on. Remembered what I did with my first car ( Austin seven ruby) and got out and rocked the car front and back and the control knob just popped up. Am in Spain with my XF so am still worried about the sticking of the control knob problem.Have to get home at end of the month to UK and will wait until my return before contacting the [email protected]
