seems like the gas filter is blocked. most cars now the fuel filter is under the front passager fender in back of the tire. there might even be more than one filter too. so you will have to check with the servie manual to see

Check coil distributor cam position sensor

Throttle body needs to be cleaned and possibly re-adapted. Also, check the electrical connections on the throttle body

Almost dead battery or dirty battery cables is one possibility. Another is a starter sellinoid (Spelling wrong) going bad.

Hi i need help my mk1 golf carb starts and idle fine but as the car idle and enjin is getting hot then she just jerk and cut out then start it again it starts fine but idle for aboutfew sec then cut out again..i unplug the temp sensor problem remain petrol filter new new plugs and plug wires new boch distributor...plus 1/2 tank of feul...what els can i try any help..can this be electrical problem or what all my fuses checked and is fine any help pls

K*K A clutch kit will not cost you more than about R1000, and that is a better quality like Luk. Shop around at places like Autozone etc. It should not cost more than R2000 to fit. Mcarthy are trying to take you for a ride!
