There are very few bolts on a vehicle that use a reverse thread and they are usually very specialist parts.
Set your ratchet to the correct direction you want and you will turn the bolt in the correct direction.
Clockwise is in, Anti-clockwise is out!

SOURCE: Venture van power door problem

It sounds as though one of the proximity sensors is faulty. Also try giving the tracks for the door a good shot of white spray lithium grease. The door may be binding enough so that the emergency reverse is kicking in.

How do I remove the alternator from a 2001 Chevy Venture Van

Remove negative battery cable and remove the strut mounts from the top of the radiator header. Then fold the mounts with the brackets toward the engine .Then use a turn buckle like tool and use it to pull the engine toward the front and make sure it is secure .Reach ,and feel to remove the bolts from the alternator.Remove the drive belt, some applications require the removal of the power steering unit, but u may not have to.Note the bracket on the alternator will have to be removed before the removal of the alternator itself.Do not remove transmission linkages from wiper assembly. There are two bolts ,short one,and a longer one you can not see,You will have to feel for them.Loosen the pivot bolt first and remove if possible,if not remove it after you can turn the alternator around to do so..Remove the other bolts from the alternator and remove alternator from engine compartment.

I an '03 Chevy Venture van whose windshield wipers won't go down.

Your windshield arm is in need of repositioning. Take off the cap on the windshield arm and loosen the nut under the cap. Reposition the arm so that it faces 180 degrees flat to the passenger side of the car. Tighten the nut. This should solve the problem you've described.

Removing chevy venture caliper

Yes it's the right direction but because of so much heating and cooling those bolts get really tight.Spray alot of penetrating oil (WD-40) on and around the bolts. You may even want to tap the wrench on the bolts in the opposite direction slightly (tighten) to help loosen their adherence, then try the right way to losen them.Dont use a torch! It'll melt the "O" ring on the caliper piston.Take your time
