THE TOP WIRE CONSISTS OF A BLACK AND A WHITE WHERE AS THE ONE THAT GOES THROUHG THE FIREWALL HAS TWO WHITES.
If you can isolate the damaged section of the wire harness, it can be repaired without removing the entire harness. At the damaged section, pull a single wire up away from the bundle and cut out the damaged section. Strip about a ¼ inch of the insulation from both cut ends to expose the copper wire. Get a spool of wire that is the same gage (or larger) and cut about four inches of that and strip the insulation from both ends. Use crimp type wire connectors and attach the new section of wire to the previously cut wire of the harness. Fold the repaired wire out of the way and pull another damaged wire from the harness and repeat the process described here. Continue until all of the damaged wires have been spliced. Fold the repaired splices and wrap several turns of electrical tape to tidy the appearance of the work. Do not do this work until you have disconnected the battery cables and do only one wire at a time to avoid getting a crossed circuit. Good luck.

It is difficult to say with 100% confidence because the pictures are out of focus, but it looks like you have just a regular turntable. The wire connections you show are the bridge between the tonearm and the external RCA style cables. The extra wire (#5) is the ground wire. You should be able to connect this to any receiver that has a phono input.
For confirmation, can you update this with the model number of the turntable? That will allow me to confirm what I have stated above.
Thanks,
Dan

black to black and white to white, the green wire is the ground. the lighter colored wire is most likely for european connection if it is a switchable ballast.
SOURCE: 3 wire cook top to a 4 wire outlet
Older 3 wire connectors where Wht=Neutral Ground Return, Red=One Phase Hot, Blk=Second Phase Hot, of 220VAC stove connections.
Newer Electrical code standard has a forth wire that is bare copper for a separate safety ground return.
I suggest you but a 4 wire pig tail cable for your stove top, available at Depot or Lowes, and connect 3 wires of this 4 wire cable just like the 3 wires are now connected. The 4th bare copper safety is attached to any metal part of the stove. Find a screw you can loosen to wrap it around and tighten.

John what you have is a 240 volt motor on that pump. It will not connect to a 120 volt cord. You'll have to get a different pump.

One to each line. Be sure you set the motor to the same voltage as the line you are connecting. They are 230V out of the box and your wire colors indicate you are likely connecting the pump to a 115V line.

In my opinion, you should use electrical fish tape. Do not use electrical tape on live or active circuits! First turn off all power then do.
