Check power SUPPLY to the ignition box when the problem is happening.If supply and ground are maintained at all times,then yes,it is the ignition box.I have an MSD 6AL i bought NEW about 5 years ago...it just quit working one day.MSD said they would fix it if i shipped it to them for a min/max charge.Min like $80.....max was $150.I bought an electronic distributor,module,and wiring harness from Mopar Performance for $200 brand new.

try autozone.com to see if they have your car listed for diagrams pictures and step by step instructions if your car is not listed then try your local library they have all the car manuals and even copy them for you

yeah. if you were going to put an after market cd player in there, you would actually need to purchase a wiring harness though. but yes, just match the wires, but be careful to not cross them, because those wires are small enough to melt if you cross them.

Make sure you have the right pump first and that it wasn't packaged incorrectly. On some fuel pumps there are updated wiring harnesses for the fuel pump and you might have one of those trucks that needs the new harness put in. It is simple to do and not to expensive.
