2009 acadia Works intermittently. Been shop several times. Checked for leaks. Purged. Cleaned out. Condenser replaced. Pressure switch replaced. Works fine after each visit for a week or two then back to intermittently. Worse when driving slow or stops. What is wrong
Sounds like the magnetic clutch on the compressor may be defective or have an excessive air gap between the drive and driven plates (gap increases with engine temp)..
The compressor was replaced. Would the magnetic clutches have come with it?
I have replaced many compressors in my working years, maybe 500 or so, most are rebuilt units and not all come with a new clutch assemblies. You need to contact the shop that did the work and ask them if it came with a new clutch or at least the clutch magnetic closing coil. Also you did not mention the AC compressor relay, it could be the issue, if that is not the problem it could be PCM (computer) related or a problem in the wide open throttle circuit (Throttle position sensor). Also are you sure the AC refrigerant charge is not leaking out, have the charge checked with a set of AC gauges.
Thank you. I will be checking with shop again
If this is a reputable shop any further repairs should be free.
So for just parts
They failed to fix it properly, they should repair it for free PERIOD! Like I said any REPUTABLE shop, Take it to the dealer and make them pay for it. I did this work for decades, we always fixed comebacks at no charge.

Stops like right now? Then beeps? Bad ground or coil pack. If it's dropping when you start to drive then fires right back up when it drops I'd be looking for a loose ground. If it was just running crappie then coil
SOURCE: oil pressure light on and wont start
Well I had the same problem and wow was I surprised man. I have a code machine that plugs into my car and tells me what wrong with it then I fix it. It read that I had a misfire #1 so that means my spark plug is dirty or something like that. When I took off the spark plug it was smashed in that was a good sign.. I called a mechanic friend of mine and he said that my head and piston were damaged but would not really know unless he took it apart. What he said was true and cost me a great deal of money..!!!! Now searching the web I have found that there many jeep liberty with the same problem just different spark plug locations so I wonder if Jeep knows of this issue but will not acknowledge it.. If you need more information please email me at [email protected]
Check out this link regarding your issue..!!

i would check the oil plug screw seal first before i would do the valve solenoid/pressure switch. also, if the oil plug screw seal is fine and tightly screwed in, it may just be the switch seal itself.
SOURCE: TPMS indicator doesn't reset after tire pressure is normalized
Fixing the tire and setting all the tire at the proper pressure should turn the light off automatically. You might have to go to a Dodge Dealership.
The only reason that I can think of is the pressure sensor was damage when the tire repair was performed. To patch a tire, they need to take the tire off the rim. The pressure sensor can be easily damaged during this process if they are not carefully.
Just keep that possibility in mind.

Disconnect your high pressure switch when the compressor is not engaging and stick a paper clip in the wiring harness.. thus jumping both sides of the wires.. If the compressor engages then you know its a faulty pressure swicth.
SOURCE: 99 jetta check engine light on, runs fine, speedometer not workin
o2 sensors will put your check-engine-light on. it is attached to the exhaust (closest to the motor)and rusts-out sometimes. you could try to fix it by buying the o2 sensor and use a socket-set to see if it loosens. i 'm not a mechanic but have had the issue, in the past, with the jetta II's and a 1997.the guys at vw dealers are great with info, if your a hands-on kinda guy/girl.
