You need a LOCKSMITH THAT WAS NOT THE PAID AD ON GOOGLE. lots of bad players or untrained noobs in there.

The remote you bought online may be no good, wrong firmware, etc. Battery may be dead or weak

A good locksmith will determine what it is. Of course the VEHICLE must be working correctly, too.

try findalocksmith.com to find a background checked, legit locksmith who will take good care of you.

If near Boulder, Colorado... I will provide the diagnostics for free just for you

I would start by making sure you purchased the correct key fob for your vehicle. The best way to do this is to call your local dealership, ask for service, then ask what your key fob part number is. They will ask you for your vin# so have the handy. You can also buy a Dodge Durango Key Fob Replacement here.

SOURCE: 2005 dodge durango key fob

Hello and thank you for choosing fixya.com. I would suggest taking your vehicle to a local auto parts store and request to have a diagnosis done. (while auto stores vary, this is usually a free service and only takes a couple minutes to complete) to see if any codes are brought up. If so, the representative can tell you what the codes mean, and what needs replaced or repaired. Let them know of the situation. Even if no codes show up, ask them to clear the codes. If this does not work, do the following. 1: make sure that the batter in your key fob is inserted correctly, and that it is the correct size and type. 2. Disconnect the + Positive cable on your battery. This will reset your the vehicles computer. Maybe this will allow the vechile to code up with the fob. If not, I would take it to dealership, or backto an auto part store for further assitance.

I thank greatly for choosing fixya.com. I hope this information is useful to you and helps you get your fob working again. Let me know if you need further assistance, or have any questions or comments. Feel free to rate this information at your earliest convenience.

SOURCE: How do I program S Type Jaguar key fob Year 2000 Jag ?

Seperate key fobs only can be programmed in the following way.

Turn ignition on/off 8 x times (allow all functions to stabilise) after the 9th on - press a button on both remote fobs. then turn ign. off. use good remote to lock and then try new remote to unlock/lock. sometimes it works first time - sometimes you have to repeat actions. good luck.

Program 2005 Hyundai Tucson remote keyless entry fob.

You will need to seek out a professional to program your 2005 Hyundai Tuscon keyless entry remote since it requires special equipment to program. I would suggest calling a few local locksmiths and price shop, they are usually a bit more affordable than the dealer. Better yet, if you have a mechanic you usually go to, see if they can do it for you.

Another way to save some cash with keyless entry remotes is to Purchase A Key Fob online.

Can a 98 durango be started without a key

If the vehicle is stock, then the answer is no.
But, you can purchase and have installed a remote start system that allows you to start the vehicle from a FOB remote key, like keyless entry. But you would still have to insert the key and turn the ignition on to drive the vehicle.

Keyless remote wont work

Many times if you purchase a used vehicle, the car lot only provides the key because they do not want to spend the money to purchase a key fob. A 2006 Lancer either has a 2 or 3 button keyless entry remote which you can find here: http://replacemyremote.com/

I have a 2005 Durango and the voltage outlets stopped working and then I changed the battery in the key fob and now it does not work. I have been told that it is probably the relay as there is not a fuse...

check fuses 3 and 35 in the drivers kick panel. as for the key fob, do the locks work when pushing the button on the door?" if so its a FOB or Keyless entry problem. a dealer or a shop that does a lot of Didge repairs. may be the best to check it out.

Key fob is broken, the batttery bracket broke off,

Use a couple of pieces of wood to thermally insulate the terminal from the vice so you can heat it. Apply heat, again either with a large iron, or sometimes you will need a small blow torch. Apply and allow the solder to melt and flow in until it either fills the cup, or it flows out the vent hole if there is one.

Reprogram 2005 Dodge Durango key fob

Go to the dealer. It is the only way, they have to use a computer. Changing the battery doesn't make it lose it's program though. You most likely broke the battery hold down. This is the most common thing I see at my shop. If the key still starts the vehicle, you now have a bad key fob. If not, you may be able to get it reprogrammed.
