I have a 1993 Suzuki Jimny F6A 660cc, and there's a metallic noise like a dry bearing coming from the engine ot transmission at around 30km/h. With the car stationary and the the transfer case in neutral, I have run through the five speed box and am atill getting the same noise at the same point. I've replaced all the ball and needle roller bearings in the transfer case and 5 speed transmission, but still good the noise. Any ideas?

That sounds like gear noise is maybe the issue.

SOURCE: 5 Speed transmision problem

Obviously kicking the clutch in disconnects the gear box from the engine so it sounds like you have a bad idler bearing in the gear box.

Either way its going to need the gear box stripped out and rebuilt I would guess. More than 150K miles on it I assume.

SOURCE: I have disassembled a three speed transmission

These bearings are end of shafts support as rollers can take a higher load than ball type, check both housing,s and the ends all shafts good luck.

Suzuki Jimny making whining noise when in gear even when rolling with clutch not engaged?

Question edited for clarity. Took me ages to work out you meant whining, not winding. I was thinking like 'wind noise', or was it like winding a clock?

That noise is caused by failing or dry bearings. It appears to be a known issue on that model!

Do they use the same carb in the Suzuki F6, F6A, 6 valve and 12 valve engines

The Suzuki F6, F6A, 6 valve, and 12 valve engines do not necessarily use the same carburetor. The carburetor used on a particular engine depends on factors such as the engine's displacement, number of cylinders, and year of manufacture.
For example, the Suzuki F6A engine, which was used in various Suzuki vehicles such as the Suzuki Carry and Suzuki Jimny, has several different carburetor options depending on the model year and vehicle application. Some of the carburetors used on the F6A engine include the Hitachi DM14, DM20, and DM24 carburetors, as well as the Suzuki F5A and F8B carburetors.
Similarly, the Suzuki F6 engine, which was used in the Suzuki Cappuccino sports car, also has a specific carburetor designed for its engine configuration.
Therefore, it's important to confirm the exact engine model and year of manufacture, as well as the vehicle application, to determine the correct carburetor for a particular engine.

we dont have this engine in USA< (this forum is USA forum.....)
what year, what car? ?? what country?
the k6a fits many cars, and many years and can be carb or EFI fueled.

the K6a line up, do tell what you are driving....please.
now to answer in GENERIC Mr. Otto Cycle mode. (gas engines)
no spark, check spark.
never tuned up, ever.
low compression, find timing chain slipped or worse.
twin cam 3 cylinder.
with chain drive. if chain is/was quiet, the cam timing should be good. as is compression over 150psi.
if compression is good, and spark good, x3
then it will run on test fuel, does it?
of not clogged melted CAT?
