Either you may be using a key that you had copied from the original or your chip went bad in your original key. Most of cars now a days have the key censor in the key so if it is the incorrect key it will not start your car or if it does not read that chip it will not start

Have you verified this system is running the battery down? The system you describe is called the Remote Keyless Entry System (Electronic Time/Alarm & Control System - ETACS Module). It cannot be 'disconnected' without disabling other systems (intermittent wipers, Chime bell, Door Warning, Dimming Off Room Lamp, Seat Belt indicator, remote power door lock/unlock system, etc.)

Try disconnecting your battery cables then wait about 10 minutes. The computer should reset itself. Reconnect the wires to the battery. It is normal for the theft light to blink about every 5 seconds when the ignition key is out or in the off position. This means the system is armed and working properly. Hope this helps. God bless!

With the drivers window down and all the doors closed and the hood open diconnect the battery. reach in and turn the key to run. Connect the battery without skipping around and the dash lights should come on. turn the key off and enter the car and start it as normal.
