I need to replace the thermostat on a 2002 pontiac montana. I have a Haynes repair manual for 2001 pontiac montana with picture location of thermostat housing but I cannot visually find it even using a flashlight! Where's is it hiding and what do I have to remove to see it?

Where the upper radiator hose connects to the engine you will find the thermostat under that housing. You must drain the radiator and remove the upper hose. Then remove the 2 bolts holding the housing in place. Make sure to pay attention to which way the thermostat is mounted, spring up or spring down.

2001 Pontiac Montana, is there a wiring Diagram/Schematic to be found?

At a repair shop on a data base, they have the same
info you can buy, if you purchase factory manuals

Free seldom is of much use & the Haynes & others are
next to useless & too generic

Could try auto zone site for free or pay for their alldata
for one vehicle, for one year, that is cheap

What is the easiest way to remove the rear thermostat housing bolt from a 98 montana? Driving me nuts!

There is a YouTube video of this procedure. Put "1998 Montana thermostat replace" in browser and multiple sites come up. One of them is the YouTube video. Personally, I'd go to local parts store and get the Chilton?Haynes manual for your make/model and year. The instructions are easy to follow, and pictures are provided. Then you have the book for future reference for repairs.

How to change speed sensor

A Chilton/Haynes repair manual that covers your vehicle will lead you through this procedure, step by step. And even has pictures for those that don't learn as well by purely written instructions (like me).

How to change thermostat on a 2002 Pontiac Montana

I believe the Montana has a 3.4 Liter V6 Engine.
This thermostat is located under the exhaust "crossover" pipe that runs between both the front and rear cylinder heads. Divers side.
Remove the heat shields (10mm bolts) and then the nuts on the exhaust studs. (6 total)
Two bolts hold the T stat housing to the intake.

How do you change an alternator on an 2003 Pontiac Montana?

your best bet is to visit the library and look in a chiltons/moter/mitchells
or haynes repair manual any of these should have step by step directions + diagrams to r+r your alternator or you can stop by any
auto parts store napa/cap/auto zone etc. get the haynes repair manual
it's about $10.00 and has the info you need and many others that may
come up in the future.
hope this helps any other ? gimme a shout good luck
