Your battery is located in the rear under your cargo floor. Where most cars would hide a compact spare.

SOURCE: 2006 Chevy HHR Traction Control Light and Check engine

i fixed mine by pulling each and every fuse in all the fuse boxes and replacing them with new ones. the hhr fuses have a tendency to work loose and cause all kinds of little problems. i searched the forums for the answer to the traction control light problem and never found an answer that worked until i talked to a "shade tree" mechanic in my area and he told me to do the fuse thing. been a month now and no more problems.

Testimonial: "The comments I left are the solution. The fuse thing does not do anything. It's a red herring. I replaced only the one that's associated with P0010 and It's been months."

There should be a printed list on the inside of the fuse boxes, as well as in the owners manual. There is one box under the hood, and another on the right side of the console near the passenger's feet.

So I have a 2007 Chevy HHR that has both the abs and traction control lights on. I've changed the drivers side wheel bearing and when I went to pick up a coworker, that's when the lights came on

If the light's are on DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes are stored > Take it to a qualified repair shop ,don't recommend an unqualified person try to resolve these type issues .

Engine light and traction control light on 2006 chevy hhr

Traction control usually uses part of your ABS brake system to function. Sometimes a dirty (or worn out) wheel sensor is the problem that triggers both "check engine" and "traction control"...This can be verified with the proper diagnostic meter, and many shops will perform this test for free...unfortunately the free check at the auto parts stores does not include reading the ABS/Traction sensors...sensor cost is about $65. sometimes they can be cleaned. Hope this helps.

Ecs light on 2011 HHR LS and low power

ECS is electronic controlled stability. It works with traction control when it is slippery and it does cause what you describe. It reduces the power to the engine and drive train. IT could be from ice build up on wheel sensors.

ESC and Traction Control light comes on 2011 HHR LS

Sounds like your brake fluid is low, or one of the wheel speed sensors is dead.

ESC and Traction Control light comes on and low power with my 2011 HHR LS

You will need to find the trouble code for malfunctioning wheel speed sensor. The Powertrain control module thinks that there is a wheel spinning or slipping, which in turns retards ignition timing to limit the slip. It could be a bad sensor or a broken wire harness. Some parts houses can give you the code, but you will either have to take it in to a Certified Technician, or diagnose it yourself if you are qualified.

Is there a fuse for traction control in a 2007 chevy hhr?

No there is not

The traction control is embedded into the
ABS Braking System

It will, as you found out cut fuel injectors & on some
vehicles, fords, slam on the rear brakes

If I had the answer I would put it all over the internet
on how to disable it

It is useless in snow & you sometime can't even use the vehicles

Thank the Govt for that so called safety feature

By the time those system activate you already crashed
& don't need them

Traction control on chevy hhr 2006

The traction control and transmission shifting would involve the body computer more so than the engine computer.
Have you had the body computer scanned for trouble codes ?
