Question about 2002 Saturn VUE
SOURCE: 2002 Sayurn vue 3.0L
Under the intake manifold, it will need to be removed. Not too hard to do for the average diy but recommend buying a repair manual as a guide. you will need a 1/4" drive T30 torx socket with a long extension one of the bolts is hidden but the others are under the black cover on the top of the intake. you will also need to remove the coil pack held on with torx bolts. 8 or 10 inverted torx socket needed for that.

You have a slave cylinder for this trans. Pump the clutch pedal 25 times with the engine OFF. Then start it and try shifting it into each gear while parked. If this make it work your slave cylinder needs to be replaced

SOURCE: transmission shifting very hard
shift slam fix, could be your valve body needs replaced, could tighten the input shaft nut, throw a new thermo in there along with a ****** flush, test for catcon cloggage by unplugging your front o2 and drive for a second to see if proformance is restored , dont forget to check that egr valve those can be tricky at times, last but not least dont for get to test your tps pull that plug on it and test it out , thats my best i could give on the topic
