Question about 2003 Dodge Durango
Chiltons repair book says the waterpump runs Backwards ? on the 3.7 and 4.7 engines.
Have a radiator shop check for blocked cores
have a compression test done
water pump not an issue unless you have removed the ac compressor out of the system and now the water pump is being driven in reverse because an idle pulley was not used in place of the compressor

SOURCE: electric fans do not run
Che if you installed the right thermo sensor, check for broken wires and if the car has the wrong coolant sensor or the wrong thermo sensor it will not work right.

SOURCE: 94 acura tries to overheat after reaching operating temp replaced radiator relays for cooling fans and thermo switch, new hoses and thermostat, after reaching operating temp top and bottom hoses swell
Based on what you are saying and what you have done so far you have a cylinder head gasket leaking combustion gases into the cooling system, this type of leak causes a gas bubble to form around the thermostat and then it will not work properly. Also when this type of leak is the problem there will be no white smoke out the tailpipe or coolant in the oil, the gasket only leaks on the compression stroke.

Testimonial: "Dennis Wei, thanks for the help on my 94 Acura, your description with the gasket leaking on the compression stroke was right on the money"
SOURCE: my corolla 4a fc - temp guage goes to red and engine stops, replaced thermostat, radiator, fan works, gasket is not blown, engine remains cool, temp guage fluctuates and turns the engine off when it gose to
Did u end up finding out what the problem was?
