My focus goes into limp mode while driving,it needs to be turned off then back on and it drives fine till the next time it randomly goes into limp mode again,I have replaced the plugs, leads, coil, tps, oxygen sensor, PVC Breather hose, fuel pump, fuel filter, cleaned the fuel tank, cleaned the mass air flow sensor, replaced air filter, NO fault codes show up, NO enjine light comes on,
What do you mean limp mode ? This only happens with automatic transmission's . Step on gas an won't go , bog's down ????? Loses power ?????
Testimonial: "The car just slows down the enjine does not stop but if you put your foot on the acelorator it slows real quick. Yes it looses power then I turn car off and back on and it goes fine till ext time"
I have to work out how to reply to you think I did it wrong
Did you use a scanner to check engine sensor data ? Check power & grounds for the engine computer (PCM) Is this a US vehicle or europe ?
Something is dropping out , crank , cam sensors - wiring , hooking up a lab scope would be the way to go .
Does the car have electronic throttle control ?
Stepping on the gas doesn't do anything when this happens ?
I don't know if it has electric throttle control. I replaced the throttle position sensor, stepping on the gas slows the car down and I think if I did step on the gas and not take my foot off the enjine would stop as it seems to make it jerk slower
I'm in Australia. Have used a obd Bluetooth scanner on it and it reads out no fault codes. I am taking it back to the car yard and using their scan tool which is more expensive and probably better. The fella who sold me the car thinks something small in the wiring maybe which is what he will be trying to find but I cant take it there for another 3 or 4 more days.

fuel pressure regulator on the fuel rail is probably it or the egr valve is stuck open allowing burnt fuel to flood the intake, im leaning towards the fuel pressure regulator because the o2sensor is probably reading rich or if its reading lean then i would choose the egr valve . good luck

dont look for air when the car cuts out its most likley spark or fuel when it cuts out ranomly its usually a sensor or relay that is faulty check fuel pump relay and camshaft or crankshaft sensors but first narrow it down to spark or fuel if possible also if check engine lite is on check codes

small emissions valve with one electrical connnector and three to four vacume lines located near your egr valve. this is a comon fault on fords emmissions system.
