HI I have a 2008 Kymco exciting 250I. I have a flash code that appears to be a 54. Can anyone tell me what that is? Anyone have the diagnostics for that fault.

Carb'ed Engines:
Code 54 - Mixture Control (MC) solenoid is shorted or the ECM is faulty.
Fuel Injected Engines:
Code 54 - Camshaft (or distributor sync.) reference circuit - No camshaft position sensor signal detected during engine rotation.

fuel is getting to hot ,this is a renault engine and in the fuel filter is a temperature sensor i think which could be faulty or take the fancy plastic cover off the engine so the air can circulate better

You can search online at the readers website or just enter the code number and usually you cna find the issue easily. I don't even know where my book is anymore.
