I bought a daihatsu used vehicle privately, and I've notice some idication symbels on my dashboard flckering and staying on but have know idea what they for and what wrong?

do you need the see u goodbye notice? if it doesnt effect any running components to your vehicle. the quick fix until you have the money to have somebody chase that wiring issue. pull the fuse. then it cant drain your battery you cut off its electric supply until u can get it looked into. just a quick fix though. you dont want to keep doing things like that lol. im old school so i will run with minimal. the motor runs, im good!! :)
Hi Christine, the blue temp light is telling you that the motor is cold, it will go off once the engine has warmed up, nothing to worry about as it is normal, you will notice that it does not have a temperature gauge like some other cars, that is why they have the light, if the red temp light goes on switch the vehicle off immediately, this is telling you that it is overheating, they are very good cars, my father has one, enjoy :)
My '01 TDI had the same issue and apparently it was a switch gone bad behind the horn and airbag. . . so no idea if the airbag would have worked had I been in an accident. Definately worth going to VW and having it looked at though. Better safe than sorry.
