How do you check the Auto Transmission fluid on the 2000 Lanos

The way to check the transmission fluid is like old vehicles, there is a screw in the low part of the transmission in the driver's side but towards the opposed wheel, you have to work under the car and take off the screw. If leaking fluid is good In not, you have to refill.
The Daewoo Lanos needs 12 quarts of Fluid.

Transmission for 2001 daewoo lanos

since it does not have the dip stick, there is a plug on the side of the transmission. Take out the plug and fill it until fluid starts running out, then it is full and insert the plug.

Can't find transmission fluid dipstick in 2001 Daewoo Lanos

the daewoo lanos has no dipstick. The owners manual suggests that you take the car to a dealer to have them check it. Im sure they want you to pay them for frivolous things. Hence daewoo is no longer sold in usa. I wonder why Answer #2 A grey plastic plug with a large screwdriver slot in it located on the top of the transmission box when unscrewed and removed reveals a small dipstick attached to the underside of the plastic plug. This is also where you add any new transmission oil should you drain it or need to top it up.

Need to check trans fluid no stick?

look in your owner's manual under the transmission section. If there isn't one, you may have to put the transmission on a hoist and check for a small plug on the side of the transmission. Sometimes they have plugs so that when you fill the trans, you fill it just till it starts to run out of the plug. If it doesn't run out, you may have to try and put your pinky in the hole and see if the fluid is level with the hole. Otherwise, add oil slowly till it just starts to come out of that hole.

How do I check ATF in a 2000 daewoo lanos as there is no dipstick.

Be sure that transmission fluid temperature is at least 104° F (40° C). Models with 2.2L engine: To access check/fill plug: In the engine compartment, remove clamp from air hose behind cooling fan. Separate air tube from the hose and push the tube back towards the transaxle. Remove the clip holding the two power steering lines together. All Models: From underneath vehicle remove the transaxle check/fill plug with engine running. Fluid level should be even with hole. Add fluid as needed until fluid flows from hole. Replace check/fill plug and torque to 9 ft. lbs. (12 Nm).

Hope this helps,
