If an immobiliser was added, not factory, is the fuse more likely to be in the interior fuse box or fuse box under hood...???

Have a '99 Daewoo Matiz, 3 cyl, will not start or kick over, emergency flashers on and immo light on dash. Have replaced battery, still no go. How do disconnect immobiliser to see if will start.

Probably neither as it would be an inline fuse in the power wire to the immobilizer

SOURCE: can't find the turn signal or emergency flasher fuse for 1998

Conrad, up north.
My protege is a '99. The turn signals and hazard flashers use the same flasher unit. It is located under the dash to the left of the steering wheel and above and a bit to the right right of the driver's side fuse box.

SOURCE: Change flasher relay on Jeep Grand Cherokee 2007

If you are looking for the old style flasher, it's not there. It's now called a combination flasher module (more $$) and usually it's on the right side of the column under dash. If you buy one first, at least you will know what it looks like.

SOURCE: My 2000 Ford Expedition has

If it is a single click, the problem lies in the starter solenoid or relay. If it is several clicks in succession, the battery may be low or there may be a loose cable. ---------- also try this :-- Please make sure the battery is fully charged before doing this test! Also make sure all the connections on the starter, battery and cable ends are tight and clean! this is important!! This won't be fun to test but it will tell you if the starter is good or not. Crawl under the car. (Make sure you use the proper jacks and jack stands!) find the end of the starter (not the end that is attached to the bell housing) and find the solenoid switch. it should have 3 bolts on it. Two large ones and a small one. The top large wire should be the positive battery cable, the bottom large wire should go into the starter and the small wire should be from the ignition switch. Take a wire and hold it to the top large wire on the solenoid. (be careful of the other end of that wire when you have it connected to the top large wire of the solenoid! don't ground this wire. it will turn out badly. take the other end of the wire and touch it to the small bolt on the solenoid end. If the starter is working, the solenoid should engage and the starter will turn. If this happens it is most likely the ignition switch. If the starter doesn't turn, the starter could be bad. ==== Starter Relay Test
Place transmission in Park.
Apply parking brake.
Check for battery voltage between starter relay battery terminal and ground.
Connect jumper wire on starter relay between battery and ignition terminals.
If engine does not crank, connect a second jumper wire to starter relay between ground terminal and good ground and repeat test.
If engine cranks in step 3, transmission linkage is misadjusted or neutral safety switch is defective.
If engine does not crank in step 3, starter relay is defective.
Follow this step by step and you will pinpoint the problem.

This will help. Thanks please keep updated.please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya.

sounds like there's an issue with your fuses, you'll probably need to buy a full fuse set for your matiz. if not check that all the cables are in tact and that nothing is disconnected.

Daewoo matiz car not sparking how to bypass immobiliser

If the immobilizer is indeed your problem, there is now way to "bypass" this sytem. The immobilizer system has to read a frequency produced in your key to allow the veh to start. It is a theft deterent. If it could simply be "bypassed", the system would be useless as anyone could start the veh. Ususally, immobilizers kill the fuel supply, not the ignition spark. If you have no spark, you may hve another problem all together.

Where is the interior fuse for 2001 Daewoo Leganza. interior light is not working

Fuse is in fuse box under the hood to the rear of the windshield washer reservoir. It is marked EF-29 but first check to see if dome light switch is set in the center mark, ie. on/door/off. 'On' is always on, 'off' is always off, 'door' is light on when door opened. Also, bulb may be shot.

Help. ive got a wiper system that doesnt let the water thru, can anyone tell me where the pump/ fuses etc are located on a daewoo matiz thank you...kt

The pump is located on the washer reservoir. The fuse boxes are located under the hood (usually near the fender wells) and in the dash (usually under the steering wheel and next to the drivers door.
