that code definition is "Evap high purge flow fault". It means you may have a problem with the evaporative system. this system routes fuel fumes back to the fuel tank. If you want to try and clear this code, find the radio code for your car and then disconnect the battery for 30 seconds. Reconnect the battery and the check engine light should be out. You will then need the radio code to reset your car stereo. the check engine light may stay off if the condition was a transient one. If not, the light will come back on after you drive the car two drive cycles. That is: two starts, warm ups and shut downs. If the light returns, have a mechanic check it out.

With modern cars it is bad when the engine light just comes on and the vehicle does something very different. It should not be driven. If the car is smelling of fuel and jerking it is because it's miss-firing (i.e. one or more cylinder is not getting spark but is getting fuel). This can be anything from electrical/electronic to mechanical like a broken rotor cap (as an example). The good thing, is that the light is coming on and a mechanic can check the ECU for error codes. Alternatively, you can buy or barrow one your self and check it out on your own (I think even certain auto-part stores will check it for you as long as you get in the zone;). 1996 is a good year for that since that is when OBDII started and all vehicles started using the same port to check for issues.
Hi, this code represents a Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold
(Bank 1). and the repair, considering that it will be repaired by the dealership, seems to be in the normal cost range. The labor is what usually inflates the price when dealing with catalytic replacements.
You could probably get a better deal by taking it to a non dealership type of repair shop. This may cut at least 200 dollars of the original dealership quote.
Please rate and god bless:)

There is no P4156 but, there is P1456....it is this:
P1456 EVAP System Leak Detected (Fuel Tank)
You either have a cracked hose or an air leak to or on the fuel tank.
SOURCE: diagnostic code po411
The P0410 code refers to the emissions system.
The AIR pump puts air to the
exhaust to lower emissions. It takes in outside air and pumps it through two
one-way check valves into each bank of the exhaust.
About 90% of the time that this code is set, the one-way check valves have
worn out or failed and allow water (which occurs naturally in the exhaust) back
into the pump. In any cold climate, especially in climates with higher humidity,
this water may be more excessive. The water partially fills the AIR pump, it
can then freeze. When the PCM commands the pump on, if the pump is frozen it
cannot turn, thus overloading the circuit and "popping" the fuse.
In here you can find the Trouble Codes List:
The CODE mean P0411 Secondary Air Injection System Incorrect Flow Detected
Good luck!!!
