SOURCE: HORN DOES NOT WORK ON 1999 DODGE DURANGO

The horn is a simple circuit. Check your fuse, and see if you get power to the horn itself. The remote start and alarm are separate problems, and probably need a technician to straighten out.

Where is the fuse box on my '99 Durango SLT 5.2?

. most likely you need to change the remote battery. It's responcable for many things working correctly. my daughters car locked on her and the alarm sounded and had to disconnect battery in her car to get alarm to stop. when a theft is in process the vehicle takes over and don't allow it to crank and the radio also stops working along with other things. so try battery first in remote.

Brake lights on my 1999 dodge Durango won't come on. I have all ready change all the fuses, the brake switch and even all the light bulbs and they still won't come on

Hi, is there power getting to your brake switch? I have pasted the diagram below. If there is power to the brake switch, the problem is the wiring. If no power to the brake switch, it may be the fuse or the wire from the fuse to the switch.

1999 dodge durango wont start

may work may not...on older cars when the starter went bad and the car wouldn't start you could tap the starter with a long screwdriver or hammer lightly and the solenoid would engage and start the car but you need to get it home or to shop cause it wouldn't work again..if you try this and the starter engages then the starter needs to be replaced if you haven't already tried..if the lights are flashing when you try to start the vehicle then o would say its prob a malfunctioning alarm system..try to diengage it by pulling fuse for alarm..don't know if you can though..check the starter...good luck

I have a 99 Durango 4x4, had issues with it not starting that I believed was the after market alarm so i disabled it. Starting working fine and now its doing problem again. Will just give a loud click from...

I had the same problem with my 1999 4x4 durago. I replaced the positive wire from the battery to the fuse box next the battery. Should only be about 2 feet long if that. I have had a problem in 4 years after changing that.
