But 'bobbin' probably refers to a Singer Protege Sewing Machine. The B8006657 confuses things though as that is the SERIAL Number and irrelevant. They had 4 digit model numbers.

So let's see if we can find a Manual. That brings a problem because 'Protege' is a range and I see two models with a numerical number. But finding the bobbin is always easy. It is hiding under the plate at the bottom of the foot. Long explanation, but the point is, please always 1. Include FULL 'make model what is is)'. 2. Find the correct category, in this case Singer Sewing Machine.

If it is a gear , then it probably will require extensive dismantling to get to replace it

a service engine or check engine light. you have two choices either take it somewere to scan it for codes, or if it drives fine you can wait and see if the car does anything abnormal. if it runs fine for a while(week,month) you can reset the light by disconnecting both battery terminals from the battery . touch and hold the TERMINALS together for 10-15 seconds. MAKE SURE you do not touch the battery with the terminals. This will drain the remaining battery in the cables themselves and it clears the computer. Simply reconnect

I once dismantled a seat my self and stitched it up.(Sewing machine on zig zag)
Putting it back is a trick with fastening with solid inner core of electrical wire and right kind of pliers. Choice is yours. In the end you still go for some good quality washable covers,.
