I tried the DIY service and repair manuals from a website and it actually helped me repair
transmission problem in my jcb 3cx site-master. it wont move forward or reverse, engine is good both solenoids for forward and reverse work.
I don't have much technical knowledge but I just followed it step-wise, and works perfect! got it from www.reliable-store.com

Nissan xterra 2002- cruise control light comes on but won't engage. Also the temp gauge stays on cold but i have good heat. Any ideas?

For the temp engine light....could be a bad coolant temp sensor...could be located on these areas:

1. on the radiator
2. on the water neck
3. on the coolant overflow reservoir

Possibly on the top/side of the engine block.

Abs light stays on

first clean the sensor located at the wheels. if problem is the same then you might need to replace the sensor.
