Hello, My 2000 Bravada AWD smarttrack not working, anti lock brakes do and no service light. Could it be the TCCM? I had another one that had a bad encoder motor but did get the service 4WD light.

I really think you should go to www.reliable-store.com they have got books on every vehicle and also how to service/repair it, parts info, wiring diagrams, electrical diagrams, fuse diagrams, error codes, etc everything

Testimonial: "www.reliable-store.com HAD NO INFO ON MY 2000 Bravada."

SOURCE: how to change 4 wd motor(actuator) 1997 s10

Before changing the actuator check the vacuum lines at the vacuum switch on the left side of the transer case if they are wet with transmission fluid the the switch is bad and that will prevent 4wd from engaging.

SOURCE: 2002 Buick Century anti-lock brake problems

i recently had this problem too, except i had all the lights on (ABS, service vehicle, trac-off, AND service engine) they are all easy to fix without spending more than 20-30$ for labour (depending how much your mechanic charges you) mine did it for free and he found out why the engine light is on afterwards too. so to fix all these lights (abs, trac-off, and service vehicle you MUST get another ABS cable (i went to a garage, they were towing a GM vehicle to the junk yard so i grabbed some scissors and cut BOTH abs cables on each side (good thing i did because one was bad) and braught them to my mechanic. the reason the lights come on is probably a defect or in my case my mechanic said it was salt buildup in the wires (on the drivers side) so he cut the wire off and rewired the new one and BOOM all the lights came off (service vehicle, abs, and trac-off) now for my service engine it says catalytic converter but im trying to put some fuel system cleaner to help it out i read somewhere that this is a defect of the car, so if you dont have that light yet, SELL your car ASAP for as much as you can get for it (after fixing the lights of course) and always google (car name+recalls) in the search bar to see what youre getting into, take care

Probably encoder motor on transfer case. Try "thepartsladi" store on Ebay for low price OEM motor.

The anti-lock light is on and it is causing the awd to disable what should I do?

If the ABS is causing the AWD to come on. Scan it and find out which wheel sensor/bearing is bad, replace it. This could happen. Most AWD lights are because the sensor/actuator in the rear axle assembly is bad. A high dollar part.

AWD Disable light came on as well as Anti-lock brake light

the lights going on might also be a warning light for low brakes. if less than 25% remaining the other possibility is sensor issues with anti lock and awd

This bulletin is being revised to add Subject information and change the labor operation. This bulletin cancels and supersedes Bulletin Number 03-04-21-006. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Numbers 02-04-21-006D and 03-04-21-006 (Section 04 -- Driveline/Axle).
ConditionSome customers may comment that the 4WD/AWD indicator lights on the selector switch do not work, or the 4WD/AWD system may be inoperative and/or the service 4WD light is illuminated. The condition is typically intermittent and always occurs at key-up. Upon investigation, the technician may find DTC C0550 set.
CauseThe Transfer Case Control Module (TCCM) has not received the wake-up call during key-up and has remained in the "sleep mode".
When the TCCM is in the "sleep mode", it will not communicate with the class II bus or the Tech 2®.
Correction
  1. Try to communicate with the TCCM. If no communication, go to step 2. If communication is possible, go to step 5.
  2. Remove the underhood (ATCM or TREC) TCCM fuse.
  3. Wait 30 seconds.
  4. Reinstall the fuse. The module should "wake up" and communicate with the Tech 2®.
  5. Check for codes in the TCCM. If a C0550 is found current or in history with or without other codes, replace the module and go to step 6.
  6. Reprogram the TCCM with the latest TIS software using normal SPS procedures.
  7. Verify operation and that no codes are present.
Important: For the 2002 model year, the TCCM must be replaced and reprogrammed.

My poor olds!!

Possibly different tires sizes or bad speed sensors combined with a bad transfer case encoder motor? Try "thepartsladi" eBay store if you have to buy the encoder motor, beware aftermarket parts on Bravada!
