Are you hearing any noises from the pass door when you activate the lock switch? If not, the power door lock solenoid has failed, and prob needs to be replaced. Pull the door panel & check to see if it is getting power to the solenoid in lock & unlock. If it has power, the solenoid is def bad.

SOURCE: power door locks and drivers window have failed on 2004 colorado

I had the same problem to the T. I look online for all the same solutions and I can only tell you what worked for me. Actually what I think worked, HAHA! I went out to my truck and unplugged both battery terminals from battery and placed them together to supposedly reset the electrical system, "so I was told." After this for about 20 min or so, I went back out and in this order; re-installed positive terminal followed by negative terminal to battery. After this I checked locks and windows and surprise they worked. I've seen a lot of people say that all they did was wait and they worked later, so maybe it was that and not what I did, but who cares, they work now. Give it a shot and if it works for you, GREAT let me know, I HATE CHEVY CAUSE OF THIS......they wanted me to pay for a stupid diagnostic before they would help me........well screw you I fixed myself. SOURCE: 2002 Ford Explorer - Drivers side door lock, rear

Aside from the fuses, your drive side power door lock may be failing to work because of a bad door-lock relay system, or, alternatively, the locking switch/button, itself, is not malfunctioning and in need of replacement.

A great handyman site that specifies the above probable causes and more is the following link:

Good luck!

My key wont unlock my doors on a 2002 jaguar xtype

The door lock cylinders have either been replaced or the lock cylinders are frozen from rust and corrosion. Best bet is to spray some type of penetrating oil in the key hole and let it try to soak in and keep trying the key gently to work it loose, if that doesnt work, you can most likely get new lock cylinders or have a locksmith cut you keys for them

The alternator on my 2002 Pontiac Montana went bad and had to be replaced. While it was going bad, I lost the ability to unlock the doors with the armrest actuators, (switches) This is true for both the...

The alternator is not connected to the door locks so is a separate issue. Your issue is likely because you left the windows open in the rain and water gets into the door lock buttons (switches) and this is the faulty area. Replace the door lock buttons themselves from a junk yard. the drivers side buttons will effect the passenger side one so only replace the drivers side, they usually just pop out easily, pry up gently from one end or the other.

Door will not open 2002 x type jaguar

The cable that goes to the inside door handle has fallen off, you have to remove the inner panel and look at the back of the handle, you should see a cable, most likely the cable fell off the retaining slot. Just push it back on until it bottoms out and replace the panel. This is common with door slamming, on x-types.

How to change the lock code on the door

The owners manual has directions on changing or adding a personal code.

If you are talking about the factory code, the only way to do this, is to replace the CSM ( Central Security Module, mid 2000 MY and older it was called a RAP - Remote Antitheft Personality )

A RAP and CSM are not 1 for 1 pin compatible, so if you go to a junk yard for a new CSM, make sure the build date on the truck is 2-OCT-2000 or newer ( up to a 2004 Heritage or Lightning, not the new body style 2004 ).
The CSM is up behind the dash on the driver's side.
The CSM is the white color box center of this picture, that is the parking brake on the left side of the picture.

If you did not get an owners manual with your truck ( purchased used ), you can download one from Ford :

The setting a Personal Code for the door keypad starts on page 111 in the 2002 owners manual.

Door locks stopped working

do you get the master panel wet(drivers side main switch) I would get a new master switch from a junk yard( about $20). If that isnt it, check your fuses under the dash and relays under the hood(black box)
